On May 10, 2017, a formal ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of a Memorial Garden that honors Harris County Peace Officers was held. The memorial garden honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice of life in the line of duty. Located at 3001 Main St. in Houston, the garden is centered by an Honor Torch that burns on the anniversary of the End of Watch (EOW) date of each fallen Peace Officer. Each Deputy’s name is engraved on a tribute tower face for their respective law enforcement agency including the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and each of the (8) Harris County Constable Precincts.
This Memorial Garden was designed, constructed and funded by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Foundation.
